BBorn in Oslo Norway, Leif Krosby started playing tennis when he was 4 years old. Trained by his father as a young child, Leif later trained with top coaches as a junior player in Texas. He played No. 1 on the tennis team at Robert E. Lee High School in Houston, Texas where he went to state all four years. As a member of the Texas junior elite traveling team, he won numerous tournaments all over the United States. Ranked in both singles and doubles in USTA Texas tennis.
Leif studied music at the University of Texas, and opened the 2003 Masters Tournament in Houston singing the National Anthem. Leif is currently a USTPA Pro 1 with 19 years of teaching experience. He coached and developed many nationally ranked junior and college players, with extensive experience coaching USTA Women’s Team Tennis. Prior to joining the Northside Health and Fitness Center, Leif was the Head Pro at Taos Tennis. While living in Texas he taught tennis in Austin at the Lost Creek Country club, Houston's Fondren Indoor Tennis Club, and the Houston Westside Tennis Club.
